Welcome to A Heart Full of Paws where you will find luxury soy wax candles inspired by my beautiful little girl and a need to help her rescuers as well as paying the bills 😊.  You will also find gifts, a number handcrafted.  

Who is Hope? Well, this is the little cutie herself, from the first photo that popped up on my FB feed in July '25 with her story that made me cry for hours and just know in my heart that we could give her a loving home, to now where she is adored and part of our family thriving since coming home. 

Hope is a tiny blind poodle rescued by the charity NoToDogMeat/World Protection for Dogs and Cats in the Meat Trade having endured unspeakable cruelty, believed to have been used as a tool in a grooming farm, her vocal chords cut so she could no longer make a noise; cry for help because she was in pain, whimper because she is cold or hungry or just wanting someone to love her. Then to be discarded to the dog meat butcher when she was no longer of use. She was saved literally within minutes of losing her life, while other souls around her were not so lucky.  Never given the chance to be loved, be part of a family, be worshipped like my boy is and now too Hope.

For many years now I light a candle on what would have been special occasions for those I have lost. I have also gifted candles to family, friends and colleagues when they themselves have lost loved ones. Sometimes, the simple act of lighting a flame next to their photo, that special song or piece of music, can bring a little comfort.  A peaceful time with your own thoughts, a time to remember years of memories.

The Silent Hope candle was inspired by Hope, not yet home at a moment when I had been lighting one of my memory candles thinking about life the universe and everything. Inspired by her bravery, her resilience, her will to live, her silent hope to be safe and to be loved. 

Aware that not everyone is a dog lover, I created Purrfect Peace for the ‘puddytat’ lovers in the image of my beautiful mummy’s boy Tate who lived to the amazing age of 22.

And then on to extend my range from ideas inspired by the gemstones or sentiment themselves, and I couldn't not include my heart furbaby, my 'Murphicles'.

In a twist of fate one of my customers in her lovely review shared that she had placed her Silent Hope candle as a  memorial to her lost furbaby. I felt so honoured that she had chosen my candle. Silent Hope and Purrfect Peace with their gemstone dog and cat keepsakes truly are perfect not just for dog and cat lovers but as memorial gifts for those of us who have lost their much loved furbabies.

Helping the many paws in need is very important to me; a discretionary donation from each candle sold will go to Hope’s rescuers NoToDogMeat to help save, care and provide the needs for their 700 cats and dogs already saved and for the souls yet to be saved.
